Dr Adriana Ventura – BA, GDipPsych, DPsych(Health), MAPS

Adriana is a nationally registered psychologist under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology from Monash University, a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and a Doctorate of Psychology (Health) from Deakin University.

Adriana has worked in a variety of settings, including the not-for-profit sector, public and private hospitals. For 6 years, she was also employed as a Research Fellow at the Australian Centre for Behavioural Research in Diabetes (ACBRD), a partnership between Diabetes Victoria and Deakin University. Her research focused on the psychological, social and behavioural aspects of living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, which is Adriana’s special interest area.

In her practice, Adriana takes a holistic view of health, with the understanding that the mind and body work together. In addition to providing psychological services, Adriana is also a Mindfulness Meditation facilitator and offers Mindfulness courses. 

When she isn’t working, Adriana enjoys travelling, walking her dog to the beach, and spending time with family and friends. In line with her values of maintaining good mental and physical health, Adriana practices yoga and meditation regularly.
